ITALIAN Ivano Bonetti has signed a 12 month contract with first division Tranmere. The former Juventus and Torino midfielder, whose dressing room clash with Gnmsbyboss Brian Laws led to him leaving Blundell Park, finally agreed terms with Tranmere manager John Aldridge after weeks of talks.

Bonetti, whose paid his own transfer fee when he signed for Grimsby last season, was left with a fractured cheekbone following his clash with Laws earlier this year.
