DESPITE the return from injury of Alan Lewis, Justin Benson has retained the Irish captaincy for next month's three day cricket international away to Scotland. Benson has clearly been rewarded for the team's recent successes in the Triple Crown tournament and the European Cup.

Derek Heasley, Decker Curry, Uel Graham and Mark Patterson were all unavilable for selection and so five members of the development squad have been given their chance.
