IN the second match of their tour, the Ireland Schools rugby side overwhelmed a poor Western Australia Schools XV, 56-0, at the Associates RFC grounds in Perth yesterday.

The Irish scored 10 tries in all, with right wing Rory Collins grabbing a hat trick, as skipper Barry Gibney added two to the tally.

The other try scorers were Peter Stringer, Simon Best, David Quinlan, David Johnston and Bryn Cunningham. Cunningam also kicked two conversions, while Quinlan added one.

Karl Coleman, Richard Woods, Stringer, Cunningham, Johnston and Collins all made their debuts for Ireland in this match.
