DUBLINER Vinny Arkins will make a delayed debut for Portadown at Shamrock Park this afternoon. Registration difficulties had prevented the former Notts County striker from playing against Omagh Town in the Coca Cola Cup during the week.

Arkins teams up with striker Garry Haylock, another Dubliner, in what manager Ronnie McFall predicts will be an explosive partnership.

However, Arkins' arrival may be too late to save Portadown, losing their Irish League Premier Division crown. They have slumped to second bottom.
