Frank Murphy was celebrating after the Junior Alliance outing at West Waterford. The Carrick-on-Suir member couldn't match the 38 points winning score of Jim Harty (Dungarvan) but he aced the 13th. The shot earned him honorary playing rights for the year from the generous West Waterford hosts. Delgany 12-handicapper Ronnie O'Toole has made a speciality of holing in one. His most recent ace came at Laytown and Bettystown three days before Christmas adding to two in Delgany and one each in Woodbrook and Mount Wolseley. Now if everyone was giving out honorary membership for such efforts, he'd really be spoilt for choice.
