Forty-two teams from Ireland and the US took part in the 2000 Fullbright Ambassador's Cup tournament at the K Club last week with victory going to Greenwich Capital Markets (US) team with 92 points. Their team of ambassadors, Jean Kennedy Smith, Ted Knetzger, John Ryan and Austin Slattery saw off the challenge of Dennis, Annette, Maeve and David Whelan representing Ireland Funds. The event, initiated by Jean Kennedy Smith in 1994, this year raised over £60,000 for the Fullbright Scholarship Programme.
