BATH'S former England A hooker Gareth Adams has been forced to quit rugby - or risk being paralysed. The 26 year old Yorkshireman recently suffered his second serious neck injury just months after a year long absence from the game because of a similar problem.

His last appearance for Bath was against French side Dax during the Heineken European Cup pool stages in October, having started this season as first choice ahead of Graham Dawe, Gary French and Neil McCarthy.
