Delgany member Helen Kane almost scored a remarkable double at the north Wicklow club recently. Playing off 27, she won the final of the medal for the Jack Regan Trophy with an excellent score of 64. Then a week later, off her new handicap of 25, she finished runner-up to Jackie Dowling in the club hamper competition when her 40 points was just two behind the winner.
