Madam, – Our President, Mary McAleese, has been and continues to be a great President of this country and its people. Her husband, Dr Martin McAleese, has been and continues to be a great peacemaker.
Had I the right of nomination I would unhesitatingly nominate Dr Martin McAleese for the post of President. I do, however, have the right to vote and I will be looking for his name on the ballot paper come the Presidential election. – Yours, etc,
