Sir, - Walter H. Loughrey (May 17th) states that, with only two thirds of the electorate voting in the divorce referendum, one third voted "yes" and two thirds did not. While this statement is correct in itself, it ignores the fact that the one third that chose not to vote, by default accepted and endorsed the majority decision. Therefore, if anything, it would be more accurate to conclude that two thirds of the electorate accepted divorce. - Yours, etc.,
