Sir, – For the season that’s in it, is it “paries”, “pardies”, “porties” or “parties”? I’d choose the latter, but this particular term is in rapid decline within a certain cohort of Irish society.
Is the party over for the humble word “party”, or will it be afforded “pardy” of esteem by future generations? – Yours, etc,
