A youth who tried to sell heroin to a plainclothes garda while other gardai watched has been given a five-year suspended sentence by Judge Elizabeth Dunne.

James Brennan (21), of Briarfield Road, Kilbarrack, Co Dublin, was caught with £300 worth of heroin in the Garda operation at Edenmore Shopping Centre on June 4th, 1998 and pleaded guilty to having the drug for supply.
