An 18 year old Co Cork youth who was involved in a post office robbery during which the 85 year old postmistress was terrorised was given a five year suspended sentence in Cork Circuit Court yesterday on condition that he pays £4,000 to his victims.

James Patrick Gubbins, of Forest Hills, Midleton, pleaded guilty to the robbery charge and had a number of burglaries taken into consideration.
