A 16-year-old youth was killed yesterday in Co Kerry when the vehicle in which he was a passenger ran into a ditch. The single-vehicle accident occurred at Castleisland at about 4 a.m. Five people were travelling in the vehicle at the time.
The driver and the other three passengers were taken to Tralee General Hospital, where two were reported to be in a serious condition and two received treatment for minor injuries.
