A 17-year-old man is expected in court today following a suspected hit-and-run incident in Dublin yesterday afternoon.

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle at Huband Road in Bluebell shortly after midday.

The youth was later arrested and is being held at Kilmainham Garda station. He is expected to appear in court this morning.

Gardaí have named the man killed in a collision on Saturday night near Oldcastle, Co Meath, as Liam Sheridan (66) of Millbrook Road, Oldcastle.

Donegal gardaí have named the man killed in a crash in the county yesterday morning as 32-year-old Hugh Donegan of Drumleck Drive, Shantallow in Derry.
