A teenager was beaten by seven men with iron bars in a paramilitary style attack, it emerged today.
The youth (16) was seized in the Rosemount area of Derry at 9 p.m. last night and bundled into the back of a car by three masked men.
He was taken to an area close to the Creggan shops where he was beaten by at least seven men wielding iron bars.
A PSNI spokeswoman said the youth was taken to hospital, where his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
