A teenager was shot by an armed gang outside Belfast last night.

A teenager was shot by an armed gang outside Belfast last night.

Four men forced their way into a house at Glenveagh Drive in Dunmurry at about 10pm and attacked the 17-year-old victim, who was alone at the time.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle and an arm injury. He was taken to hospital, where his injuries are not said to be life-threatening.

A PSNI spokeswoman said detectives are trying to establish a motive for the attack and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
