A young man was killed in a single vehicle accident early yesterday evening in Co Limerick.
The 21-year-old driver died after his car left the N69 at Cowpark, near Pallaskenry and struck a pole shortly after 9 p.m. He was the only occupant of the car at the time.
His death brings to 326 the number of people killed on the roads so far this year, 28 more than at the same period last year.
