MOSCOW - President Boris Yeltsin said yesterday that he was likely to stand in Russia's presidential election in June and pledged to continue democratic and economic reforms. "It looks as though I will give my agreement to stand in the presidential election," he told investors.
It was the firmest indication so far that Mr Yeltsin, who is 65 on February 2nd, would seek a second term in office. But he said he would wait until mid February to announce his final decision.
