MOSCOW - President Bons Yeltsin retreated from view again yesterday after a brief television appearance which failed to dispel all doubts about his recovery from double pneumonia.
The Kremlin, repeating a phrase used often since Mr Yeltsin dropped out of sight last July with heart problems, said the president would work on documents at the Gorky-9 country residence outside Moscow. But he appeared to have lost a lot of weight.
