The body of a yachtsman who was lost overboard at Clogherhead, Co Louth, on the morning of the May bank holiday was recovered on Saturday. Mr Martin O'Neill (47), from Corbawn Drive, Shankill, Co Dublin, had been on board The Sea Warrior with his daughter and the skipper.

It is believed he was attempting to raise the anchor to allow the yacht to weather a sudden gale when he went overboard.

His body was spotted on the Big Strand in Clogherhead on Saturday morning.
