A wreath-laying ceremony is to take place today at 11

A wreath-laying ceremony is to take place today at 11.30am to mark the 36th anniversary of the Dublin-Monaghan bombings which claimed the lives of 33 people on May 17th, 1974.

The ceremony will take place at the Talbot Street memorial close to the junction with Gardiner street in Dublin city centre.

The commemorative wreaths will be laid by Lord Mayor of Dublin Emer Costello and the cathaoirleach of Monaghan Town Council, Seán Conlon.
