It's a year since Pakistan's superb Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali Group (right) made an audience-gripping Dublin debut at the NCH with its universally acclaimed exposition of qawwali, the devotional music of the Sufis of Pakistan and India. Now this young and exceptional 10-member group (two lead singers, Rizwan and Muazzam, with five secondary singers leading a choral response and handclapping, with two harmonium players and a tabla player) is back, this time to play at Dublin's Vicar Street venue.

It's an experience that, paradoxically, embraces both the spiritual and the sensuous. The performance starts at 8 p.m. today.
