London - A 52-year-old workman has died after falling into a vat of molten metal

London - A 52-year-old workman has died after falling into a vat of molten metal. The man suffered 100 per cent burns when he plunged into the boiling zinc at a galvanising factory.

Colleagues at South East Galvanising in Witham, Essex, pulled him from the 30 ft wide vat but he died hours later at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
