Former RTE legal affairs correspondent, Mr Kieran Wood, yesterday settled, for an undisclosed sum, a £30,000 damages claim for libel against Independent Newspapers Ltd.
No details of the action or the settlement were disclosed in the Circuit Civil Court when Judge Harvey Kenny was told the proceedings could be struck out with no further order.
