London - A jealous wife who stabbed her husband repeatedly through both his eyes because she could not bear him to look at other women was yesterday jailed for three years. Former dancer Janet Smith (39) killed her 52-year-old husband Jack in an attack at their home in January this year.
She stabbed him in the face 30 to 40 times, with some of the wounds penetrating up to eight centimetres into his brain, Mr Justice Ian Kennedy had heard at an earlier hearing at Bristol Crown Court.
She broke one knife during the assault - then went to the kitchen and got another before continuing the attack.
