Woman seriously injured in Wexford fire

A woman in her twenties is in a stable condition in Wexford General Hospital following a fire at a veterinary clinic in the town early this morning.

The woman, reported to be a Welsh native, was rescued by gardaí  from a shed at the rear of the clinic at Rocklands, Wexford, at about 1 a.m.

She was taken to Wexford General Hospital where she underwent treatment for serious burns.

A Garda forensic team is examining the scene in an effort to establish the cause of the fire.
