A woman remained in a serious condition in hospital yesterday after she was assaulted in Dublin over the weekend.
The 28-year-old woman was brought to St James’s Hospital following the assault which occurred in a house at Reuben Walk, Rialto, early on Sunday morning. She was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
A 26-year-old man was arrested by investigating gardaí on Sunday evening and is being questioned in Kevin Street Garda station.
