A woman's body has been recovered from a marina in Northern Ireland, police said.

She was spotted yesterday afternoon at Warrenpoint, Co Down, and her death isn't thought to be suspicious.

Officers said she was aged in her late 30's or early 40's and was of stocky build.

Police and coastguards have appealed for anybody with information to contact them.

A spokeswoman for the Coastguard said Kilkeel lifeboat was called after a yacht crew discovered the woman.

She added the operation took less than an hour.

A post-mortem is expected to be carried out later today.
