A woman in her eighties has been killed in a road crash in Castlebar, Co Mayo last night.
Bridget Molloy, (80) with an address at Turlough road, Castlebar was struck by a van crossing the road close to her home at 7 p.m. yesterday evening.
She becomes the 336th person to die on the State's roads so far this year, the same amount killed for all of last year. For the last two years running 21 people have died on the roads in December.
