Woman killed in Westmeath crash

A woman has been killed in road crash in Co Westmeath.

A woman has been killed in road crash in Co Westmeath.

The woman  and her four children were on a school run when their  Mitsubishi Pajero crashed and overturned near Cummerstown on the road between Collinstown and Oldcastle at 8.15am.

The woman, who was in her early 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.

The children, two boys and two girls aged between six months and 15, were taken to Mullingar General Hospital.

Gardaí said none of the children were seriously injured in the crash. They are said to be in a comfortable condition in hospital tonight.
