A woman has died after the car she was in crashed in Co Waterford.
The woman, who has not yet been named, was the front-seat passenger in the car when it hit a pillar at Ballinamuck, Dungarvan, at 8.00pm yesterday.
The male driver was injured and taken to Waterford Regional Hospital. here were no other vehicles involved.
According to Garda figures, 180 people have died on the State's roads so far this year, compared to 218 during the same period in 2006.
