A woman has been killed in a car crash in Co Meath.
Gardaí said the single-vehicle collision occurred at about 3.15am this morning on the N51 at Curleyland, Athboy.
The 23-year-old woma was fatally injured when she lost control of the car she was driving and it hit a ditch.
She was the sole occupant of the car and her body was removed to Navan General Hospital.
Diversions are in place as the road is closed pending a forensic examination, a Garda statement said
A total of 146 people had died on the State's roads up to last Thursday, according to Garda figures.
