A woman thought to be in her early twenties was killed when her skidded off the road near Edenderry in Co Offaly this morning.
The woman who was travelling alone when her car left the road at The Derries about 3 kilometres from Edenderry on the Rathangan road.
The road remains closed while Gardai examine the scene of the crash.
