An 85-year-old woman has died after being struck by a lorry in Co Cavan earlier today.
The accident occurred at Doon, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, at about 2.30pm. The woman was hit by the lorry as she crossed the road at the Diamond Junction.
The victim was taken to Cavan General Hospital. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballyconnell Garda station on 049 9525580.
