A woman has escaped injury after being kidnapped and driven around Belfast in a car while threatened with a gun.

A woman has escaped injury after being kidnapped and driven around Belfast in a car while threatened with a gun.

Her unknown attacker forced her into his vehicle at around 1.30am on Thursday at Dunluce Avenue near the Lisburn Road.

He drove the 26-year-old around for half an hour before she escaped unhurt at Ulsterville Avenue.

Police have appealed for information.
