Wellington - Ms Jenny Shipley (45) was today named as the new Prime Minister of New Zealand, taking over from Prime Minister Jim Bolger (62) who will retire at the end of the month. Mr Bolger said yesterday he was standing down after speculation that Ms Shipley had given him an ultimatum to go gracefully or face a leadership vote at today's National Party caucus.
