A mother appeared in Dublin District Court yesterday charged with the murder of Derek Benson (34) in Ballymun, Dublin. Ms Jackie Noble, of Knowth Court, Ballymun, was the second person charged with the murder of Mr Benson, whose body was found in a flat at Sandyhill Avenue on May 13th.

Judge Miriam Malone granted free legal aid and remanded her in custody to Friday when her co-accused, Mr Paul Hopkins (21), of Sillogue Road, Ballymun, is also due to appear on remand.
