Woman in hospital after Dublin house fire

A woman remains in hospital with severe burns following a fire at a house in Dublin city today.

A woman remains in hospital with severe burns following a fire at a house in Dublin city today.

The fire broke out in the kitchen of a house in Chelmsford Road, Ranelagh at about 4pm.

The woman was taken to St Vincent's University Hospital where her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A second person in the house was also taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

An investigation has begun into the incident and the road is currently closed.
