A woman in her 90s had a large sum of cash stolen during a distraction burglary at her home in Co Tyrone yesterday.
A man called at the woman's home in the Linen Court area of Dungannon around 5pm and told her he'd seen a burglar entering her property.
After checking one room she returned to tell the caller nothing was missing. He then urged her to look in the other rooms.
Later on, after the man had left, the woman realised that a substantial amount of money had been taken from the room she had checked first.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
