A DUBLIN woman in her 70s has died from injuries received on Monday when a stolen car crashed into the car in which she and her husband were travelling close to their home.

Mrs Teresa McGrath and her husband, Joseph, were turning into the driveway of their home on Raheny Road in, north Dublin when their car was struck by a car being chased by two Garda cars.

Mrs McGrath was thrown through the back window of the car and struck a tree before falling to the ground. Her husband had to be cut from the car. He was described as stable in Beaumont Hospital yesterday.

Gardai said four people have been interviewed and a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
