Woman held for child attack

Lisbon - A Portuguese woman has been arrested in connection with the burning of an 11-year-old girl who was tied up, sprayed with petrol and set alight, police and prison officials said yesterday. The girl was yesterday fighting for her life in hospital. According to press reports the 39-year-old woman, who was not named, attacked the child because she was the daughter of her married lover.
