A woman has been remanded on bail for sentencing after she pleaded guilty yesterday to five offences following a Garda investigation into organised prostitution in Cork city.
Julieanne Gibson (41), Springvale, Old Youghal Road, Cork, pleaded guilty at Cork Circuit Criminal Court to three counts of acting or assisting in the management of a brothel at John Street in Cork on three separate dates in 2006.
She also pleaded guilty to two similar charges at another address at Grafton Street in Cork on two further dates in 2006 when she was arraigned on the counts yesterday afternoon before a jury of 12 men.
