A woman suing the Blood Transfusion Service Board and others was entitled to seek information as to the identity of every employee of the BTSB who might have information on whether a plasma exchange donor had been suffering from infective hepatitis or jaundice in 1976, the High Court ruled yesterday.

Miss Justice Laffoy was ruling on whether certain questions could be put to the BTSB relating to the issues in the main hearing of the action which is due to begin on October 8th next.

Ms Brigid Ellen McCole is taking the main action against the BTSB, the Minister for Health, the National Drugs Advisory Board, Ireland and the Attorney General.
