A 61 year old woman will appear in a Belfast court this morning, charged with attempted murder.
The charge relates to what the PSNI described as a 'domestic incident' in which a man was stabbed in Carrickfergus on Monday.
It is understand the man sustained injuries to his chest and abdomen.
