A woman has died and a man has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a crash in Co Westmeath this morning.
The two-vehicle collision happened at 11.15am, on the N52 between Mullingar and Tyrellspass near Clonfad.
Gardaí said the woman died at the scene.The injured man was taken to Mullingar General Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
The scene of the crash remains closed pending examination of the area by Garda forensic collision investigators.
