Woman dies in road accident

A woman in her 20s was killed when her car collided with a lorry at Clonsoghey, Mountmellick, Co Laois, at 9.50 a.m

A woman in her 20s was killed when her car collided with a lorry at Clonsoghey, Mountmellick, Co Laois, at 9.50 a.m. yesterday. She was named as Ms Jessica Laundon, from Roskeen, Clonbur, Co Galway. The 17-year-old youth killed in a three-car crash on the Tullow/Carlow road at Grangeford, Benekerry, on Tuesday evening has been named as Martin Hogan from Hillbrook estate in Tullow. Four other people in the car with the dead youth were taken to St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. All are from Tullow.

Meanwhile, a search was continuing in Fenit, Co Kerry, last night for a 24-year-old local man reported missing since 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
