A woman (51) has died in hospital after the car she was driving crashed into a ditch in Co Galway last night.
The crash happened on a minor road off the N18 at Keamsellagh East, Kilcolgan at around 8.00pm.
A Garda spokesman said the car overturned after crashing into the ditch.
The woman was taken to University College Hospital, Galway, where she died of her injuries.
The woman was the only occupant of the car and there were no other vehicles involved.
