A woman in her 50s has died after the car she was driving crashed into a wall in Co Galway.
The incident happened on the Kiltomer to Portumna/Laurencetown Road in Ballinasloe between 7.30am and 8am this morning.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body taken to Portiuncula hospital in Ballinasloe.
The road is closed pending completion of an examination by forensic investigators and local diversions are in place.
