A 19-year-old woman has died and three other people were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Co Cavan last night.
The incident happened when two cars travelling in the same direction collided at approximately 10.30pm on the R188 at Corravahan, Drung, Cootehill.
The victim was a back seat passenger in one of the cars. The other two passengers and the sole occupant of the second vehicle are currently being treated in Cavan General Hospital.
The road remains closed pending a forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
